Organization at a Glance
Rangpur Protibandhi Foundation is an Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD) working in the Rangpur district of Bangladesh. The organization was established on 24-4-2004 and involved 125 persons with disabilities with support from the District Department of Social Service. Now, the organization has a total of 3,000 members: among them male, 2,125, and 875. The organization implements its activities, ensuring equal participation of men and women with disabilities.
According to the organization's bylaws, the General Committee has 27 members, and the Executive Committee has seven members. The organizational activities are implemented by the staff and volunteers following the directives of the General Secretary/ Executive Director. Through the direct involvement of men and women with disabilities, the organization is working to promote the rights of persons with disabilities and improve their lives with support from government and non-government organizations.
Besides, the organization strives to partner with mainstreaming organizations for Disability Inclusion in their programs by ensuring the active and meaningful participation of persons with disabilities and providing capacity-building and technical assistance.
